John Bechtle

Presently Dr. Bechtle is the Director of Telos Institute International. His responsibilities include the overall direction of the program; supervise office staff and approximately fifteen tutors; administer a budget of up to $500,000; develop curriculum; oversee the production of the catalog and public relations materials. He has been a professor of Biblical Studies, Acting Academic Dean, Assistant to the VP of Academic Affairs, Academic Dean and VP of Academic Affairs. Dr. Bechtle has been an Instructor for Walk Thru the Bible (Old Testament seminars), Traveling Bible Teacher in Austria for Operation Mobilization, Coordinator for Back to Genesis Seminar, Institute for Creation Research. His publications include: Greek Behind the Prof’s Back: A Self-Instructional Workbook in New Testament Greek, “The Expectation Syndrome,” in Moody Monthly, contributor to The Complete Bible Library (wrote 40 Greek word studies, 200+ Hebrew word studies, wrote the commentary on 1 John to Jude), and co-authored with Max Anders “Proverbs” in the Holman Bible Commentary.
Mark Eckel
Ph.D. in Leadership, Th.M. in OT
Currently, Dr. Eckel is the Director of Mahseh Center, an educational consultant, and Heartland Fellows academic. For over twenty-five years he has served the Christian education community as a high school teacher, college professor, and international speaker. Dr. Eckel’s responsibilities have included daily instruction, curriculum development, mentoring teachers, and conference speaking on Christian education issues in hundreds of venues. In 1995 Cedarville University selected Dr. Eckel as the Delta Chi Teacher of the Year. His original curricula Let God Be God: The Nature and Characteristics of God and Timeless Truth: An Apologetic for the Reliability, Authenticity, and Authority of Scripture have served the Christian school movement around the world. In 2006 Dr. Eckel consulted with Church Colson to produce a curriculum for high school students called Rewired. Since then he has produced both online and print curricula for various ministries. His book The Whole Truth: Classroom Strategies for Biblical Integration has helped thousands of Christian school teachers practice biblical integration in their classrooms. Integrite has recently published two of Dr. Eckel’s scholarly journal articles: one on faculty evaluation in higher education and another on adult learning. He has also contributed a chapter to an upcoming book on school choice for parents. Dr. Eckel is a featured speaker and writer on faith-learning integration, worldview, culture, film critique, apologetics, education curriculum development, instructional methodologies, and Christian school philosophy.
Donna Hubbard
Masters of Public Administration
Ms. Hubbard brings a wealth of academic and experiential learning to Crossroads Bible College. She has worked in the City of Indianapolis Mayor’s Office as Special Assistant to the Deputy Mayor of Neighborhoods as an Associate Project Manager for a multi-year five million dollar crime prevention grant, Departmental Representative in Community Development and in the training department assisting the HR Training Section by teaching a portion of the Presentation Skills class. Prior to accepting the National Urban Fellows award, Ms. Hubbard was the Public Relations officer for IPS Key Learning Community, the world’s first multiple-intelligences school. She is a graduate with honors of Butler University’s Jordan College of Fine Arts, and an intern at Clowes Memorial Hall in the Education Department and the historic Madame Walker Theater Center. She is a gifted vocalist and has appeared professionally as a cast member of the American Cabaret Theater in Indianapolis, and a member of the Grammy-nominated gospel choir Ricky Dillard and the New Generation Chorale.
Bryan Hudson

Professor Hudson will launch a new course New Media in Ministry in FA09 that is part of the new Urban Leadership degree program. He is the founder and senior pastor of the New Covenant Church and Ministries. His multi-faceted ministry seeks to empower people and leaders to fulfill their purpose through insightful teaching and life-changing resources. He directs Vision Communications, a progressive multi-media firm that creates relevant content for media sources such as print, radio, video, and the internet. He also conducts multi-media training workshops for youth as a means to inspire them to become a force for godly change in society. As a writer and Bible teacher, Professor Hudson communicates insights n cutting-edge issues that affect the church and its work in urban centers. He is a contributing writer to the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in their national and international publications. His publications include the book Grace: Discovering God’s Design for Your Life.
Kurt Larson

Professor Larson has been the Director of Operations of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) responsible for overseeing the staff and the day-to-day operations of a charitable non-profit organization. The organization grew one hundred percent during his tenure. Prior to this position he was president of Numa with executive responsibilities including company startup and growth to $3 million annual international sales with twenty employees and overseas contractors. This company served the nuclear medicine industry with innovative medical devices and new products.
Terry McIntosh
Master of Arts in Secondary Education, History
Mr. McIntosh has taught history for thirty-six years. He has been an instructor for social studies methods course, a continuous guest speaker regarding “Innovations in Social Studies,” and served on the task force for restructuring secondary teacher education. He was awarded the Outstanding and Inspiring Teacher Award. Mr. McIntosh has taught “Impact of Worldviews on Cycles of Civilization,” “Heritage of United States History,” and “Teaching Methods of U.S. History.”
Elizabeth Meyer
M.A., Digital Storytelling, Ph.D. student
Ms. Meyer is a speaker, instructor, trainer, and performer. Her speaking engagements include speaking at CITA, guest instructor at Spring Arbor University, and a seminar speaker at Northwoods Community College. As a trainer she developed a corporate manual and hired and trained over 60 employees. She served as a substitute speaker for a gubernatorial candidate and was a featured speaker at fundraising dinners. Ms. Meyer designed the graphic transition elements and storyboarding concepts for the producer of The Historic Road which aired on PBS. She directed, produced, and distributed to Indiana libraries the Ohio River Project that was funded by the Department of Education.
Sherry Miley
Master of Science in Education, Secondary Education, Spanish
Ms. Miley has taught Spanish and Holocaust Studies at Heritage Christian School, been part of the teaching faculty and staff Spanish for Washington Township Schools (writing the curriculum), and a member of the New Horizons Youth Ministry Board and Vice President. She is a member of ACTFL national foreign language teacher’s association and state language teacher’s association. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum selected her to attend Belfer II Holocaust Conference n Chicago. She was one of five teachers selected for the Lilly Academy and was chosen to teach pre-service student teachers at Indiana State University. In addition, Ms. Miley was honored for the second time with an Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship. The project was The Holocaust where she traveled to Theresienstadt, Auschwitz Birkenau, Plaszow, Warsaw Ghetto, Majdanek, Yad Vashen Holocaust Museum in Israel. She taught workshops for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) on the topic “Creativity in Foreign Language Teaching.”
Delores Ryan

Currently, Ms. Ryan is the Account Leaders – Campus Recruiting for Eli Lilly and Company. She is a Master Trainer in Performance Management Process, Certified by the Association for Psychological Testing for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test, certified in Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Process, certified facilitator of career planning process, certified facilitator of Strong Interest Vocational Inventory, and elected and served six years as Commissioner of Indianapolis Public Schools.
Robert Smith
M.A., in Evangelism with emphasis in urban evangelism
Professor Smith developed the urban ministry program at Moody Bible Institute. He has won the William Hiram Bentley Award for Leadership in The African-American Community at Wheaton College, and the Certificate of Merit for Christian Service at Nyack College. Professor Smith was Assistant Professor at Taylor University Fort Wayne teaching Theology of the City, Introduction to Pastoral Ministry, Worship Experience and Dynamics, and reviewed and revised the curriculum for the Pastoral Ministries program to reflect the contemporary demands of pastoral ministry. He was Associate Professor at Moody Bible Institute teaching personal evangelism, Introduction to Sociology, History and Theology of Urban Ministry, Church Planting Methods, Methods of Communication within an Urban Diversity, Philosophy of Urban Ministry, and Principles of Church Growth and Planting. In addition to Taylor and Moody Professor Smith has taught at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and North Park Seminary. His publications include: “The Word Became Flesh,” “Humiliation and Exaltation” in the UMI Annual Sunday School Lesson Commentary Precepts for Living; “Sarah’s Story” in Celebrate Life Magazine; “Practical Advice in Perilous Time” in Storm Clouds On The Horizon; “Training College Students for Urban Ministry” in A Heart for the City.

He is owner of Power Ventures, Inc. that includes Power Publishing. Dr. Partain served as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Covenant College for six years. In addition, he served as pastor-teacher in Arkansas, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. Ryan Sharp

Presently, Mr. Sharp is a juvenile probation officer and works with troubled youth. He handles all aspects of the case from the initial intake appointment, the entire court process, and the time the youth spend son probation.
