Safety Training: How to handle an active shooter.

The Department of Homeland Security will conduct a training session,

August 26th from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at CBC. The public is welcome to attend.

An Active Shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area; in most cases, active shooters use firearms(s) and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Typically, the immediate deployment of law enforcement is required to stop the shooting and mitigate harm to victims. Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation. Join our staff and faculty as we go through this training.

You are welcome to invite others.

Reserve a spot by contacting Elsa at ecardona@crossroads.edu or calling 317-789-8247.

Got a laptop?

Ladies on Laptop

Technology as a tool is a vital part of education. It's time to make the connection in using technology in our classrooms. The Board of Directors has unanimously approved to require all students to have a working personal computer for your interaction with professors, work to be done and submitted and access to Populi. See the policy under E-Technology. Yes, the details are being worked out for you to be able to purchase it through your financial aid. We believe this will enhance your abilities in pursuing ongoing ministry and vocational work after your graduation. Happy computing!
