Dr. Ware and Hosea Baxter just finished teaching Culture, Race and the Church last night. It was a great time for all and the student mix in this class clearly demonstrated how through Christ we can all have unity, love one another and serve the Lord together as His church! #gracerelations ... Crossroads Bible College

Dear CBS-Houston and Crossroads,

As we move closer to becoming one institution, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Marcus Schrader and the hiring of Indianapolis faculty.

Marcus Schrader, new Dean of the College of Biblical Studies in Indianapolis
Effective with the merger on July 1, Marcus Schrader will serve as the Dean of the College of Biblical Studies for the Indianapolis location. As the Dean of the College of Biblical Studies in Indianapolis, Marcus will provide critical leadership and management of the administrative, education support, and student services to the CBS Indiana locations, in collaboration with his CBS teammates in Houston. In addition, he will be engaged in community relations to support community awareness, student enrollment, and donor relations initiatives and outcomes. Marcus brings to this role a love for God and others and the experience to effectively lead the expanding mission of CBS as it focuses on equipping a diverse student population with a biblical worldview for Christian service to the church and the world.

“For over a decade I have been in Administrative and Academic Leadership at Crossroads Bible College, a diverse community preparing leaders to reach a multi-ethnic, urban world for Christ. It has been a privilege to serve alongside Dr. Ware and many other committed, godly faculty and staff in serving our students and alumni. The foundation has been laid in Indy, and much fruit has been produced. Now I am looking forward to continuing that legacy and expanding the impact as a member of the College of Biblical Studies team in the pursuit of a similar mission to equip diverse students with a biblical worldview for Christian service to the church and the world. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that God will bring us and the balancing of biblical and theological unity in the midst of our rich ethnic, gender, economic, and educational diversity for kingdom impact in the Indiana region”.

Marcus has been with Crossroads Bible College since 2007. He holds a Master of Divinity from Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology and is currently working on his doctorate in Global Leadership. Marcus attributes his love for the Bible to being raised in a Christian home with a father who was an Old Testament/Hebrew professor. He and his wife Jennifer have been married 21 years and have seven children. He enjoys reading, hiking, sports, spending time with family, politics, traveling, and history.

Faculty positions available in Indianapolis
The College of Biblical Studies has openings for four full-time faculty positions in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the following areas beginning with the Fall 2019 semester:

• Bible/Theology
• Organizational Leadership
• Biblical Counseling
• English Composition/Literature

Applications for these positions will be accepted until March 1, 2019.
What exciting times for CBS-Houston and Crossroads! As we move forward, we remain grateful for God’s favor and guidance throughout this process.
Serving Him with You,

Dr. Bill Blocker
President
