Media Advisory from Faith Church

Dr. A. Charles Ware, President of Crossroads Bible College (with campus locations in Indianapolis, Gary, and Fort Wayne), will speak on the theme of racial reconciliation at all Faith Church morning services on Sunday, March 13, 2016. His message is titled, Color Me Love, based on the text of John 13:31-34.

“We plan our Sunday message series annually in November,” noted Steve Viars, Senior Pastor of Faith Church. “We chose the annual theme Loving the World for 2016 in part because of racial tension around our country. The timeliness of this decision was demonstrated yet again on Purdue’s campus when pro-life students chose an ill-timed and poorly-worded campaign that needlessly offended minority students. We believe it is appropriate to have Dr. Ware come and speak on the topic of race in light of God’s Word.”

Dr. Ware is President of Crossroads Bible College, a biblically conservative evangelical institution dedicated to training Christian leaders to reach multiethnic urban America for Christ. Dr. Ware speaks regularly in churches, Christian schools, colleges, seminaries, mission conferences, camps, prisons, and at civic functions in the United States and abroad. Periodically, he does a one minute spot on WGNR-Moody radio station.

Dr. Ware serves as a consultant on racial reconciliation and leadership, has spoken at chapels for the Indiana Pacers, and assists the chaplain of the Indianapolis Colts. His ministry is well-received by audiences of all races. Dr. Ware is an active member at College Park Church in Indianapolis.

Dr. Ware is the author of Reuniting the Family of God (Baptist Bible College) and of Prejudice and the People of God: How Revelation and Redemption Lead to Reconciliation (Kregel). Dr. Ware is a contributor to Called to Lead: Wisdom for the Next Generation of African American Leaders (Moody Press).
